March for Our Lives
Road to Change was filmed during MFOL’s 2018 multi-city bus tour which created independent local chapters and provoked personal conversations on a national stage.
Silence was a winner of a 2019 Shorty Award and was produced quickly (in less than a day) to seize the opportunity to push voters to the polls during the 2018 mid-terms. Directed by Michael Dickens.
Families Belong Together
Helen’s story came quickly. When we heard from Families Belong Together that there was going to be a party for Helen, a young girl who had been separated from family and was now being re-united, we knew this was a perfect opportunity for a video. Production began in McAllen, Texas the next day. The video features the Lawyers working to help Helen, activists who could clearly explain the injustice, and Helen and her grandmother who were gracious enough to share their story.
Planned Parenthood
When the Planned Parenthood Federation of America wanted to announce their new President, we designed a integrated campaign to release the news. From news stories to social media, it was to be a cross-platform launch. We produced this video of Dr. Wen which served as the keynote of that rollout. The video was viewed millions of times and helped to define her story. Winner of a 2019 Webby Award.
Hope Town United
Hope Town is a small island in the Bahamas which was struck by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. We filmed this video weeks after the hurricane. It features the destruction of the storm and the voices of people who lost everything. This was a powerful fundraising tool for HTU, which is dedicated to rebuilding Hope Town.
AIDS United
Will Wilson was diagnosed with HIV in the 1980s. He never thought he would live with HIV for so long. It came as a shock to him when he learned that some life-saving HIV and AIDS treatments we not covered by Medicare. I loved talking to him about his life and what it means to age with HIV, and used our interview as the basis for an integrated public awareness campaign in the successful effort to change the law.
Crushers Club
The Springboard foundation funds small non-profits and helps them grow. I produced this profile of one of its grantees for its use at Springboard’s annual gala. Donors responded to the view-from-the-ground portrayal of the foundation’s work.
